Flights to Kerala

There is no nonstop flight from Florida to Kerala — every trip connects somewhere. These are the routings that actually work from Miami, checked against each airline's own site. Fares change by the hour, so this page never prints a price as fact: each card links out to live fares, and the fare watch below posts dated samples of the cheapest tickets we find each week.

Quick answer

There is no nonstop flight from Florida to Kerala. From Miami, the one-stop routings are Qatar Airways via Doha — the only single-airline option that also reaches Kozhikode — and Emirates via Dubai, whose partner flydubai covers Kozhikode too. Both serve Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram; every other routing (via Frankfurt, Istanbul, or New York and Delhi) takes two stops. Fares change constantly, so check live prices through the links on each routing and use the weekly fare watch below for the current level.

Fare watch — sampled weekly

We sample the cheapest round-trip fares on these routings every week and post them here with the date checked and the travel dates used — because a fare printed without a date is a fare you can't trust. First samples land the week of October 26, 2026. Until then, use the live-fare links on each routing below.

The routings, Miami to Kerala

Qatar Airways — via Doha (DOH)

1 stop via Doha

✓ Verified Oct 23, 2026 · Only single-airline one-stop to Kozhikode

Qatar Airways flies Miami to Doha, and Doha is the one hub that reaches all three Kerala international airports. The airline's own India page lists 11 flights a week to Kochi and 7 a week each to Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode (page undated; checked Oct 23, 2026). Qatar's Miami–Kochi route page confirms the routing stops in Doha. For Malabar-side families — Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur — this is the only one-stop routing flown end-to-end by a single airline.

Emirates — via Dubai (DXB)

1 stop via Dubai

✓ Verified Oct 23, 2026 · Daily from Miami

Emirates flies Miami–Dubai daily (EK214 out of Miami, EK213 back — the flight continues to Bogotá) on a Boeing 777. From Dubai, Emirates serves nine Indian gateways including Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. Emirates itself does not fly to Kozhikode — but its partner flydubai does, and the Dubai–Kozhikode leg is sold on the Emirates network, so a one-stop Miami–Dubai–Kozhikode trip exists with a change of airline at Dubai. Emirates also flies daily from Orlando (EK219/220), which switches to the new Airbus A350 on November 1, 2026.

Lufthansa — via Frankfurt (FRA)

2 stops via Frankfurt

✓ Verified Oct 23, 2026 · The European option

Lufthansa flies Miami–Frankfurt daily (LH462/463). It does not fly to Kerala itself: from Frankfurt its Indian gateways are Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, and the last leg to Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram runs on an Indian domestic carrier. Lufthansa sells the whole trip as one ticket on lufthansa.com, but it is two stops and usually the longest day of the options here — worth it when the fare is right or you want a Frankfurt stopover.

Turkish Airlines — via Istanbul (IST)

2 stops via Istanbul

✓ Verified Oct 23, 2026 · No Kerala flights of its own

Turkish Airlines flies Miami–Istanbul daily (TK158/157), but it does not serve Kerala at all — its own India page lists Delhi and Mumbai as its Indian destinations. A Kerala trip on this routing needs a second connection inside India on a domestic carrier: two stops, and usually only worth it on a standout fare or for an Istanbul stopover.

American + Air India — via New York (JFK) + Delhi (DEL)

2 stops via New York

✓ Verified Oct 23, 2026 · The all-India-carrier route home

The US-carrier routing: American flies Miami into New York, and its own JFK–Delhi nonstop (AA292/293) runs daily October 26, 2026 through March 27, 2027, then pauses for the summer. Air India also flies nonstop to Delhi from JFK, Newark, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington Dulles — plus Toronto and Vancouver — and from Delhi both Air India and IndiGo connect onward to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. The catch: no US airline or Air India flies nonstop from North America to Kerala, so this is always two stops — but baggage and check-in run on one ticket, and Delhi connections are timed for exactly this traffic.

Etihad Airways — via Abu Dhabi (AUH)

2 stops via Abu Dhabi

✓ Verified Oct 23, 2026 · Serves all three Kerala airports

Etihad does not fly to Florida — its US gateways are New York JFK, Chicago, Washington Dulles, Boston, Atlanta and Charlotte — so from Miami this prices out to two stops: a domestic leg, then Abu Dhabi, then Kerala. The payoff is on the India end: Etihad serves all three Kerala airports (Kochi daily, Thiruvananthapuram 6 a week, Kozhikode 3 a week). Worth checking when a Gulf-hub fare war is on.

Before you fly — five things that save trouble

One ticket, door to door. Book the whole trip on a single ticket whenever you can — your bags check through to Kerala, and if a delay breaks a connection, the airline has to rebook you. Separate tickets leave both problems with you.

Give parents a longer layover. Doha and Dubai sell connections as short as an hour. For elders, choose the two-hour-plus option when it is offered — usually the same fare, none of the rush.

Book wheelchair assistance ahead. It is free on every carrier on this page and comes with an escort through security, the terminal and the connection. Request it when you book, not at the airport.

Check your fare's baggage allowance. The cheapest Gulf and US fares do not include the same checked bags. Confirm what your fare class allows before the suitcases are packed, not at the Miami counter.

File the e-Arrival Card in the last 72 hours. Free and mandatory for every foreign national arriving in India, OCI cardholders included. Details and the official link are on our NRI Updates page.

Which Kerala airport?

Kochi (COK) — the default for most families: Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, Idukki and Alappuzha are all an easy drive, and it has the most flight choices. Thiruvananthapuram (TRV) — for the south: the capital, Kollam and across into Kanyakumari district. Kozhikode (CCJ) — for Malabar: Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad and Kannur. Qatar reaches it in one stop on a single airline; Emirates' partner flydubai also makes it one stop via Dubai; Etihad takes two stops — which is why Malabar trips take more planning.

Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach? Neither airport has service to India — Miami is the gateway. From FLL or PBI you either drive to MIA or price a US-hub connection (JetBlue to JFK can pair with Qatar's New York departure, for example). Emirates' daily Orlando flight is the other Florida option worth checking.

Before any India trip, OCI and visa holders also need the free e-Arrival Card filed within 72 hours of arrival — details on our NRI Updates page. This guide is a verified reference summary, not a booking service; fares and schedules change, so confirm on the airline before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a nonstop flight from Florida to Kerala?

No. No airline flies nonstop from any Florida airport to India. From Miami the fastest trips are one stop — Qatar Airways via Doha or Emirates via Dubai. Everything else (via Frankfurt, Istanbul, or New York + Delhi) takes two stops.

Which airline should I take to Kozhikode (Calicut)?

Qatar Airways via Doha is the only one-stop routing on a single airline — it lists 7 flights a week between Doha and Kozhikode. There is also a one-stop option via Dubai: Emirates' partner flydubai flies the Dubai–Kozhikode leg, sold on the Emirates network. Etihad serves Kozhikode from Abu Dhabi as well, but from Miami that routing takes two stops.

Can I fly to Kerala from Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach?

Not directly — neither FLL nor Palm Beach International has service to India. Miami is the gateway: drive to MIA for the one-stop Gulf routings, or price a connection through a US hub (for example JetBlue from FLL to New York JFK, connecting to Qatar or Air India). Emirates' daily Orlando flight is the other Florida option.

When is the cheapest time to fly from Miami to Kerala?

Fares spike around Christmas–New Year and the Onam season, and ease in the quieter weeks between. When you can, book international tickets 6–10 weeks ahead and stay flexible by a day or two either side. Our fare watch on the Flights to Kerala page samples the cheapest round trips weekly and posts them with the date checked, so you can see the current level before you book.

What paperwork do I need before flying to India?

Every foreign national — including OCI cardholders — must file India's free e-Arrival Card online within 72 hours before arrival. PIO cards are no longer accepted for travel; convert to OCI or carry a visa. Full details, with official links, are on our NRI Updates page.

Which is the fastest way to fly from Miami to Kerala?

The one-stop routings: Qatar Airways via Doha and Emirates via Dubai. Both reach Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram with a single connection. Every alternative — via Frankfurt, Istanbul, or New York and Delhi — takes two stops and makes for a longer travel day.

Can I fly to Kerala from Orlando instead of Miami?

Yes. Emirates flies Orlando–Dubai daily (EK219/220), connecting onward to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, and the Orlando flight switches to the Airbus A350 on November 1, 2026. Qatar Airways does not serve Orlando.

How does the fare watch on this page work?

Once a week we sample the cheapest round-trip fares on the Miami–Kerala routings and post them with the date checked and the travel dates used. They are samples, not quotes — fares change constantly, and the price for your dates is only confirmed when you search live through the links on this page.
