Early voting for the November 3 general election opens Monday, October 19, in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, and runs through Sunday, November 1. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily in all three counties, confirmed by each county's Supervisor of Elections.

During early voting you can vote at any early-voting site in your home county — Miami-Dade alone has 28 locations — rather than your assigned Election Day precinct. Bring a photo ID with your signature; if your photo ID has no signature, bring a second ID that does.

Why it matters

This ballot includes school tax renewals and statewide amendments already covered on this site, so voting early avoids Election Day lines. The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is 5 p.m. Thursday, October 22. Check your registration, sample ballot and nearest site on your county Supervisor of Elections website before you go.
