The National Weather Service in Miami says a Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for northeastern Palm Beach County until 9:15 PM on Sunday, November 1. Flash flooding is already occurring.
At 7:50 PM, the public reported flash flooding in communities near Military Trail, with water starting to enter homes, and roads near Okeechobee Road and Military Trail reported impassable. Between 7 and 10 inches of rain have fallen, with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour and an additional 1 to 2 inches possible. Locations that will experience flash flooding include West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach, North Palm Beach, Lake Park, Haverhill, Mangonia Park and Downtown West Palm Beach.
Turn around, do not drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night, when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
