The nonpartisan League of Women Voters' Guide 2026 is back at Palm Beach County's 20 library branches after County Administrator Joe Abruzzo reversed the library system's mid-September ban, Stet News reported on October 13. Guides were already back in some branches as of Monday.
The ban had barred a decade-long tradition over fears of violating state law against advocating for a ballot issue — linked to the county's parks and library construction bond question. Abruzzo acted after Stet News asked him about it last week and consulted the county attorney; Library Director Douglas Crane confirmed the reversal. About 2,000 copies are left to place, so patrons should call their branch first. The League paid the Palm Beach Post $10,000 to print 53,000 copies.
Why it matters: The guide covers federal, state, and local races, Florida constitutional amendments, and countywide referendums — three weeks before Election Day, November 3. Early voting runs October 19–November 1, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. The online version is at vote411.org/ballot.
