The National Weather Service in Miami extended a Flood Watch for all of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties at 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 1. The watch now runs through 7 PM Monday, November 2, four hours later than previously scheduled.
The Weather Service says an upper-level low will keep slow-moving storms in the area through Monday. Where showers and storms occur, 1 to 3 inches of rain are common, scattered locations could see 3 to 5 inches, and isolated spots could see 6 to 9 inches in just a few hours — including areas already hit by heavy rain on Sunday. That could bring street flooding, road closures and limited impacts in flood-prone areas.
Monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. People living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
