Twelve Palm Beach County public schools — six elementary and six middle schools — rank among Florida's top 100 public K-8 schools in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report rankings, the school district announced. Morikami Park Elementary in Boca Raton leads the elementary list at No. 5, with Wellington's Equestrian Trails Elementary (No. 68) and Panther Run Elementary (No. 85) also ranked. On the middle school list, Bak Middle School of the Arts in West Palm Beach is No. 7 and Don Estridge High Tech Middle School is No. 16.

Why it matters: for families choosing where to live or which choice programs to apply for, these rankings are one data point — built equally on math and reading proficiency and performance, not on a single test day. The district notes families can also apply to more than 330 specialized choice programs; start at PalmBeachSchools.org/Enroll.
