Check the sensory swing hanging in your playroom: Harkla has recalled about 25,541 of its children's compression sensory swings because the ceiling hook can separate from its mounting plate, posing a risk of serious injury from a fall, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday, October 29.
Only the blue swing with a four-hole ceiling hook is covered — look for SKU LS-COMP-1BLU or LS-COMP-1BLU-SW on the package. The swings were sold from March 2020 through December 2025 at specialty stores and online at Amazon and Harkla.co for about $100 to $130. Harkla has received 29 reports of the hook separating, including 14 injuries — two concussions, a broken arm, and bumps and bruises.
Why it matters: these swings are widely used at home by children who rely on them daily. Stop using a covered swing until it is repaired, and register for Harkla's free repair kit — a new mounting plate, safety strap and updated instructions — at harkla.co/pages/ceiling-hook-recall-2026 or 844-442-7552.
