Crumbl Cookies is closing underperforming stores as the viral dessert craze cools, and Palm Beach County has felt the pullback. The chain's Jupiter store closed in 2025, according to The Palm Beach Post, but five shops remain in the county — in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach Gardens (two), and West Palm Beach. More Crumbl locations have recently closed elsewhere in Florida, and the company has not released a full closure list.

The Utah-based chain, which grew to more than 1,100 locations in five years on social-media buzz, is struggling with declining sales. Co-founders Sawyer Hemsley and Jason McGowan stepped down from their roles in May, and industry reports cited 57 store closures this year and August sales roughly 70 percent below the prior two years. Rival Chip City Cookies closed its last location on Oct. 9, including its Delray Beach shop.

Why it matters: if you hold Crumbl gift cards or frequent a local shop, check that your location is still open before you go — the Crumbl website lists 71 Florida locations as of Oct. 13. It is also a sign of how quickly hot restaurant fads can fade in a high-cost market.
